About Mission to japan
Mission: To share the gospel with Japanese people through cultural exchange and to make disciples of those who come to faith.
Vision: To see the good news of the gospel and the exaltation of Christ become widely embraced in Japan.
Historical start: In 1990 Warren Griffith, who was volunteering in Tsukuba Japan as a missionary, brought his first group of six Japanese students from Tsukuba University to his hometown of Atlanta, Georgia. This was the first informal homestay program. Each year thereafter, Warren brought more students and a significant number of them have come to faith in Christ. In 1993 Warren and his Japanese wife Yukari, formed an official organization known today as Mission To Japan, Inc. This official 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization brings Japanese students to Orlando, Florida three times each year and also takes American college students to Japan for short term mission trips.
